These T cells, previously hard to detect, have specific genetic markers that might explain their role in autoimmune disorders.
This discovery could pave the way for more targeted treatments that focus on these rogue T cells, offering the potential for therapies that address the underlying causes of autoimmune diseases rather than just managing symptoms.
